It is very good news for new car consumers to know that the average fuel economy in recent vehicles purchased has increased when compared to last year’s data.
According to TrueCar, September’s average miles per gallon for all vehicles sold, jumped to 22 miles per gallon from 21.4 when comparing to the same time of the year in 2010.
“ Hyundai and Nissan were the biggest gainers in average fuel economy gains this month,” explained Jesse Toprak, vice president of industry trends. He adds: “Some of the biggest gains came from light cars with almost a 10-percent increase in average fuel economy from cars sold in September.”
These changes manufacturers are making will definitely make a difference when buyers research for the ideal car. Better fuel economy, rebates, Black Friday and end of year’s best car deals, will certainly be appealing for many first time buyers too.
Even though some models such as CL-class, E350 BlueTec, F-cell, GL-class, GLK-class, G550, R350 BlueTec, SL-class, SLS AMG coupe, S63 AMG, S65 AMG, S400 hybrid and the S600 remain untouched in this 2012 collection, the following models do come with a refreshed and re vamped look and performance.
