If you are thinking of going electric, GM has a top favorite. The Chevy Volt has surely excited a lot of new buyers. The only concern about a gas-free vehicle is long road trips. Many customers fear they might run out of power if they can find a recharging station. The other negative aspect: the price, currently set at over $40.000.
For less than $30.000 you can opt for the The Mitsubishi i. With an amazing estimate of 112 mpg, it is the most efficient electric car out on the market. Unfortunately is only available on the West Coast at the moment.
